Junior Accountant

The Wood Automotive Group, one of Alberta's largest automobile retailers for over 40 years, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Junior Accountant to join our Wood Automotive Group team!

About the role: 

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Junior Accountant will be responsible for the tasks assigned so that accurate financial statements are completed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Posting invoices
• Reconciling related schedules and processing journal entries
• Processing cheques
• Daily deposits
• Bank reconciliation
• Journal entries
• Internal service invoice posting
• Filing as required

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication skills

• Over time flexibility as required (example: month end)
• At least one year of accounting experience
